Kate Mac

Kate Mac was born right here on the sunny coast of WA and has remained a Perth and ocean lover ever since. With over 20 years’ experience in the media and entertainment industry in Australia and internationally Kate is a recognisable face. Having made her start at NOVA Entertainment, Kate Mac spent nearly 10 years as an announcer with Nova 93.7 Perth, was heard on Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa breakfast show and hosted Nova's national Summer Breakfast in 2015 before returning to Perth to host the morning show. Kate stepped away from Radio to pursue her love for fitness and TV presenting in 2018 which led her to hosting 3 national travel shows with Channel 9 – The Amazing South Coast, Great Winter Escapes and Monkey Mia – A Better Adventure. Amongst this Kate continued her work as an MC, Voice over artist and with her fitness background became a well-known trainer and speaker in the health and wellness world.

2022 was a big year for Kate – She launched a new TV series called ‘Everything Outdoors’ with channel 9 and shortly after NOVA Entertainment pulled her back to launch the very popular Smoothfm radio station, locally in Perth. She did all this whilst pregnant with her 2nd little girl and since then has been loving juggling motherhood and work and can be heard every morning on Smoothfms More Music Breakfast Show. At the end 2022 she became a presenter on the ever-popular show ‘Destination WA’ on Channel 9 and loves being able to showcase her hometown in the best light possible.

Before kids, Kate did a lot of travel and worked in radio overseas in the Caribbean. She’s an adrenaline junky with one of her most gruelling experiences being climbing 2 of Europe’s highest mountains in 2019. She’s skydived, swan to Rottnest many times, swam with great white sharks, Bungee jumped - you name it, she’s challenged herself in every way. Kate has shown incredible resilience in her life with the emotional challenge of a divorce and more recently a challenge she was not expecting, the sudden loss of her Mum in 2023 whilst in the depths of very young children and planning her wedding. This experience has re-shaped her understanding of what is important in life and given her some powerful insight into grief and just how strong she and others are capable of being and is now on a mission to help others and share her experience as a Keynote speaker.

Kate’s biggest achievement though, is being a mother to her 2 beautiful girls Bailey (4) and Mia (2) and wife to her husband Pete who she married with her 2 little ones as the perfect flower girls in 2024. Kate lives life to fullest and aims to host any event with empathy, professionalism and always a bit of humour on the side.
