Mike Pratt

Born in England, guitar aficionado Michael started his career playing in bands as a jazz guitarist in 1960, aged 16. A short time later, he switched to tenor-banjo and played all over the UK with various traditional jazz bands, culminating with Keith Smith’s Climax Jazz Band. After retiring in 1966, Michael developed an interest in Flamenco and went to Barcelona to learn more about the traditional Spanish Music.

Michael has dedicated his musical life to Flamenco, performing as a soloist throughout Perth.  He also has an extensive repertoire of South American music - from the sounds of Brazil to the music of Paraguay!
