Originally from Taiwan, Zola Li is a multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter for experimental and improvised music. Zola is also a solo vocalist, performing with the guitar and piano. She sings in Chinese, Taiwanese and English. Zola had since taken her original music to many cities in Thailand, Taiwan and Europe, and also developed a passion for a wide range of musical styles that include anything from classical, Irish, blues, Latin to jazz during this journey.
She is currently the violinist of gypsy jazz band Sino Swing, who are an all string hot jazz duo consisting of violin and guitar, with double bass as an extra option for the Sino Swing trio. Further ensemble additions available upon request also include Accordion, Percussion and a Vocalist. Various line-up arrangements can be tailored to suit specific requirements.
Sino Swing performs traditional Jazz Manouche with swinging rhythms, waltz, bolero and bossa classics made famous by the legendary Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grapelli.
