Sassy, soulful, singer/songwriter, Fifi Mondello is an accomplished jazz singer with a particular love of all things vintage. Backed by Perth’s best musicians, Fifi sings a variety of jazz and blues standards, retro pop and jazzy versions of well-known popular songs, reinvented to suit Fifi’s style. Fifi has been included in the line-up for the Perth International Jazz Festival and headlined the 2017 Harvey Harvest Festival, and has performed at and held residencies at a variety of venues and events.
As well as singing jazz, Fifi is a songwriter whose original music has been played on radio stations all around Australia, also charting on the national AirIt charts. Her music videos have appeared on ABC's "Rage" and many other television shows.
As a trained dancer with a Theatre degree, Fifi is a triple threat performer. She is also a classically trained pianist. Fifi wrote, produced, performed in and choreographed her cabaret show “A Hard Man Is Good To Find”, which premiered as part of the 2014 FRINGE WORLD festival.
Fifi also recently performed a jazz cabaret show called “Songs In The Key Of Love” at His Majesty’s Theatre as part of FRINGE WORLD 2019. Il Globo Newspaper said of her performance – “Garbo is an Italian term which encompasses the rare qualities of this multifaceted artist. Not derived from the Swedish actress of the last century, it instead refers to the combination in Fifi of good taste, good manners, elegance, competence, and, naturally, a lot of talent”.
Fifi can perform with a variety of band configurations, including as a duo, trio, quartet, quintet or big band and with a variety of different instrumentation (eg: guitar, keys, double bass, drums, saxophone, trumpet etc). The band lineup and size can be tailored to suit each client and each occasion, to ensure the music is perfect for your event.
She can also perform song and dance numbers as part of a floorshow with other dancers, for events requiring that extra touch of pizazz!
